i grew up in an area where 4WD was a neccessity, not a luxury. you don't buy a 2WD truck in a climate where you see several feet of snow each winter.

I live in Alaska. Studs/4X4/Chains is necessary during the winters, and if you dont use one of the 3 you get a fine.

well 7k wouldn't get my very far in Finland if I wanted a car. I might afford to buy one but there would be no money left for registering it, paying the insurance or buying fuel.

I can't afford it either, I have a camaro that was given to me that I can't put on the road. I just asusme the government doesn't want me on the road because of my age so I accept that and decided not to pay out my whole pay check so I can be a rebel and drive my friends to the mall.
