I don't own Paint Shop, but I do have Photoshop, which is easy to use and has many resources in which you can learn how to do neat things.this is a dated signature

You can download GIMP for free. Some people love it, but personally I hate it.
I've been a Photoshop user for about 7 or 8 years. That's what I'd go with.
But I believe Paint Shop Pro may be used for different reasons than Photoshop. For example, Photoshop can not do vector graphics.
I'd do some research for yourself and decide what you're trying to do and decide which program is the best. Actually, I use Microsoft Paint a lot too. Sometimes it's easier to do basic stuff in Paint and then copy/paste it into Photoshop or whatever else I'm using. These two stupid animations I did were drawn in Paint and then dumped into ImageReady (which comes with Photoshop, by the way) to make an animated GIF.Originally posted by schope

if want to go for easy work, go for Macromedia FireWorks MX 2004, that is a program that is easy to work with.
If you want a choice between those two, go for Photoshop

Im a big Paint Shop Pro fan, IMO Photoshop doesn't match up, most people choose Photoshop because it's easier to create good looking effects with the use of filters.Comment
