Paint Shop Pro or Adobe Photoshop?

You can download GIMP for free. Some people love it, but personally I hate it.
I've been a Photoshop user for about 7 or 8 years. That's what I'd go with.
But I believe Paint Shop Pro may be used for different reasons than Photoshop. For example, Photoshop can not do vector graphics.
I'd do some research for yourself and decide what you're trying to do and decide which program is the best. If you want, I can e-mail a friend who uses them both professionally (and daily) and see what he thinks.Last edited by Saturn V; 11-04-2004, 11:00 PM.Ferengi Rule of Acquisition #98: Every man has his price.

The sheer popularity and versatility of PS just makes it the better choice. If you had problems with PS, I'm sure there's a lot more resources out there to help you get around easier.♪♫♪♫♪♫♪♫♪♫♪♫

About the email, that'd be awesome. You don't have to if it takes up your time though.

Actually, I use Microsoft Paint a lot too. Sometimes it's easier to do basic stuff in Paint and then copy/paste it into Photoshop or whatever else I'm using. These two stupid animations I did were drawn in Paint and then dumped into ImageReady (which comes with Photoshop, by the way) to make an animated GIF.Originally posted by schopeI use Microsoft Paint to make my drawings. My skills are quite obvious.

if want to go for easy work, go for Macromedia FireWorks MX 2004, that is a program that is easy to work with.
If you want a choice between those two, go for Photoshop
