One thing I liked about Firefox is the Google Search Bar in the upper right corner. And that I don't get pop-up advertizements with Firefox.

You know you can just get the Google toolbar for your browser, which also blocks popups... Put that on with IE and you're golden!

Some of the plug-ins, the pop up blocker (I get insane popups with IE from SpyWare), the favorites bar (not sure if IE had that), the sleeker design, better security..guess that's about it.

firefox just rocks. it has the googlesearch bar, and others like dictionary.com and stuff. you can disable popups, and its easy to use. i think the security is way better too.. i have used mozilla for 3 or 4 years and have never had a problem since with my computer, AT ALL. here at college, tons of people are having computer problems and they all use ie. i think there is a connection.

Firefox has these cool tabs, allowing to view all different websites in one window
I don't know how to put this but I'm kind of a big deal...

                    • Tabbed browsing!
                    • Block popup windows (and an exception list).
                    • Great extensions !
                    • Add just about any search to the search bar (Google, E-Bay, Weather.com, etc.)
                    • More secure!
                    • I also like the fact that it'll compile and run on multiple platforms.
                    • Conforms more to W3 standards than IE does (which includes: IE doesn't let you choose different stylesheets if available--the author has to make them selectable with some Javascript).

There are some webpages that don't load correctly in Firefox. But when this happens I just right click and select "View This Page in IE" (that's an extension you can add).

Firefox is a fucking awesome product. I love it. I'll only use IE if I have to. And before long, I may never have to again (as Firefox can only get better).

Also the fact that it is open source and people from all over the world can contribute code to it. This also makes it more likely for you to be heard (example: I've filed a bug in Bugzilla and it was noted as a known problem and got fixed (eventually). I received e-mail updates on the progress of the bug, too).

                    Spread Firefox!

i like FireFox better because it has tabs, a download manager, and the best of all the popup blocker, you never see a single popup again, unless you allow them ofcourse.
And ofcourse it is more secure then IE
                      Code:
1:Pred_FNM <ER>> guys, yellow + green is really shitty for forumcolours :p
1:lnx> what's wrong with that combination
                      1:lnx> I wear yellow-green clothes :(
1:Pred_FNM <ER>> i dont mean in clothes, in forums..
                      1:lnx> kk
1:lnx> buy a black-white computer monitor if you don't like the colors foo

That may be due to the fact that some websites do not follow W3C standards. IE does not follow W3C standards.
I can put alt="see me" and it will show that when you hover an image, yet alt is when you can t see an image. It is title="see me" that is supposed to do the popup tox over an image. (IE may do the title, but it shouldn't be so generalized.)
