iPod and battery life

have an ipod, love it. but i always leave it on over night, apparantly thats bad but when i bought mine we spent an extra $50 that if the ipod had something wrong with it we could take it back for a new one anytime in the next year. so far everythigns except one day i had left it on all night and it wouldnt turn on the next day, two days later it turned on, overchage maybe? i also would like to know whats the deal your own graphics? and u can u d/l games or any other cool features other than the ones that already come w/ it?

I bought an Ipod 20gb 2 weeks ago. I paid 430$ for it. Ow. I also paid 65$ CDN for extra 3 years warranty. The salesman was so damn happy when I mentioned the word "Ipod?"

Anyway, so far I'm fairly happy with it. The only thing that disapoints me is the battery life. I previously owned a minidisc player which has HUGE battery life. I only had to change the AA battery every month. It says that the Ipod's battery life is about 12 hours but it only lasts 8 hours for me. Maybe it's the temperature since it's so fucking cold outside these days.

What pissed me off also : one week after I bought the Ipod. My brother send me an email saying that on www.apple.ca , they reduced the price to $399 CDN. Annnnd with the student discount, you can get it for $364 free shipping. Shit.
I'd like to return it then buy it on apple.ca but there are scratches all over the screen already.

So the Ipod is an great solid mp3 player. But if battery life really matters to you, I'd take a look on the iRiver H120 or the Dell one. I heard they could feed your ears for 16 hours straight.
