Unless they are actually a different band, The New Age Pornographers are the New Pornographers, and they are from Vancouver.

i was listing current bands. And i was trying for more of the still local stuff. Obviously, Nirvana, Alice in Chains, Pearl Jam, Heart, and Hendrix are more of the popular bands from here. I didn't list those bands, because everyone already knows of em, and i was just trying to get ppl aware of Seattle's bands, and hoping for others to post bands from their respective cities, so i could dload some new good music

and btw the Pornographers are from Wash. and Piebald is from Seattle, I've been to the singer's house.

Furthermore, on piebald's site they talk about working at newbury comics in Burlington MA in their Decemer 28th news post. maybe there are two piebalds.

And maybe you really are talking about The New Age Pornographers, or maybe they moved, 'cause Matador Record's (albiet slightly outdated) history has them as forming in Vancover.

Oh, and A.C. Newman's booking agent says that if we were going to bring them to play, we'd have to fly them in from Vancover. So that is at least one member of the New Pornographers who is living in BC.

I hope you're talking about the name, because if you live in seattle there's no way you'd hear a band almost 2000 miles away that isn't on any website that I know of, including the one that i listed

There are many bands where I live, we have a good music college near the town centre. I used to be into the local bands scene but they've practically all turned emo which sucks.

Dallas is slightly closer than Houston, but the Dallas music scene is crap.

I don't know if Faceplant is listed at the above site, but they are worth checking out. Seen them live a couple of times, they always put on a good show for the fans.
