The last alternative/rock radio station in Philly is now being changed. The problem is some of the best DJ's that I have met are losing their job and the people who worked at the station. Luckly some such as Preston and Steve are getting to work for Oldies Rock WMMR. But the thing is we now have 8 Rap stations and 2 rock stations left. The problem is Y100 was a huge concert promoter and usually set ups some of the greatest concerts in the philladelphia area. Now since the station is being closed I will be forced to listen to oldies rock. Everyyear I go to a Feztival which is there Summer festival where they have three stages one for local, and two other stages one for main stage bands and then a second band stage for upcoming local bands that travel with the main stage bands. Other type of promotions they do is the best type of concert a sonic session. Which is an acoustic style of a band play for you with maybe 15 at max others. My first sonic session was Phish which was quite good for acoustic.
The point I am trying to get acrossed is the y100 station needs help. And it would be benificial for me and local philladelphians for anyone to sign this petition that is being made by the DJS
