Extended life 2?

i read somewhere that they are planning an extension pack for Half Life 2 called Aftermath, anyone know where i can find out anymore or what could be in it?
or anything about the extra level called "the Lost Coast"

hopefully it will carry on from the shit ending on the origional game <_<

HL2 : aftermath is going to be an expansion pack to the Half Life 2 released last year. There's nothing big to report, except that it's expected to follow into Alyx's background more than the game did. Apparently the developers didn't feel like they had enough interaction with other humans ... ones that aren't shooting at you.

The Lost Coast is more of a tech demo than anything else. The HL2 Dev team made this level to test some new filters and shading things and what not on a map. This is it.

Read the weekly steam updates and you should be getting all of what I said above.

Oh by the way:

1.) Red alerts extension cd's were named counterstrike and aftermath.

2.) Physics plays big part of naming the Half Life's expansion packs, also the name Half Life half life refers to how long it it takes for half of the total nuclei of a radioactive substance to decay.

The rest, blue shift, opposing force and aftermath:

Blue shift is Newtown's third law.
Opposing force is Dopplers effect on closing objects sended light shifting towards blue frequency.
Dont know about aftermath, its something about after reactions..

Its not multiplayer, but the AFTERMATH of what happened after the last chapter in HL2. Basically, its another chapter added onto the single player story. Free to HL2 owners.
