Virus Scanners.... for 100 bucks!??!

This is absurd! I see some virus scanners out there going for 50 bucks reach as high as 100 bucks! The most famous ones also cost so much too such as McAfee and Norton. Computer viruses sometimes infect one computer and will sometimes it will spread destroying many computers and we have to BUY our safety? If large companies want to be safe from viruses, shouldn't anti-viruses be given out to the regular people that use their computers regularly? BAH!

look for AVG by Grisoft, thats free as far as I know and it served me well

Or use Linux. =] All the software you could want, completely legal and guilt free, and coded by people who do it because they love it rather than because somebody's paying them. Doesn't do much for subspace, but it's not hard to find an old junker to ss on. =]

KAZAA?! I don't trust kazaa. That's where I got my LAST virus from. had to format my whole comp cuz the virus kept taking up HUGE amounts of RAM and MEMORY space so I couldn't do basic stuff like open internet explorer without it taking so long to open.

But I never thought of DLing an anti-virus off of kazaa. never crossed my mind. i should try it.

Uhh what? First of all, you should be using Kazaa Lite and Kazaa Lite only.

Secondly, whenever you download or transfer files from a foreign source, you ALWAYS scan them. Whatever version of windows you have came with a limited scanner like McAfee or some shit.

Thirdly, the only crap I ever got from kazaa is ineffective backdoor trojans that are instantly killed by Norton.

Like i said everywhere when we talk about kazaa... only the newb use kazaa because they dont know where to get the stuff.. Well.. i only use kazaa to search my mp3s.
