ok we have a problem, i downloaded the demo of Cossacks 2, but soem message keeps screaming at me about GUI settings and decreasing my virtual memory, which i dont want to do. is there anyway around this? all i want to do is play the damn game

That should be increasing your virtual memory paging file. Basically when a program runs out of physical memory i.e. your RAM, it will use some of your hard drive to use as a kinda RAM backup. However your hard drive is a lot slower to respond than your RAM so its not as effective.

So yeah, get more RAM or increase your virtual memory.

If its telling you to change the GUI settings, optimize them for your craptop.

For the virtual memory right click my computers properties>advanced>performance settings>advanced>settings>click custom size>then raise your intial size and maximum size. I don't know how much you would raise it by since specs are only: custom: 150mb maximum: 200mb.

I just bought the Rise of Nations Gold Edition (Basically the Original and the Thrones and Patriots expansion) so if anyone plays that, I'm down for some nation building.
