New PC Games on the Horizon to Lookout for

The only thing worse to me than a resource game, is a non turn based one. I hate AOE, and pretty much every "real time" strategy. Bunch of nonsense, that strategy. Whoever clicks the fastest, wins.

Lol, they'll probably name them "Workers" or something more modern, lol. They named them Peasents in AoE 2 for the feudal style setting.

And "The Movies" I have no clue, I'll look into that. I remember that, and it seemed badass, lol.

Edit: The Movies is slated to release pre-holiday 2005. Expect it to come out around Thanksgiving or early December before the holiday rush.

Mix of Fallout and CS. The result? FPS + role playing game with inventory, random missions, NPC interaction in a randomly generated world where the plot goes on with or without your interaction, if you're less resourceful than NPC you will only hear of it in rumors instead of being the hero of the day. Add the setting of a dead zone where you should watch your step if you don't want to be crushed by some anomaly. Even the alpha demoversion of Stalker made 2 years ago makes u feel paranoid when you walk around the abandoned empty towns.

If they'll go with developing their idea all the way, the game will rock your world.

Quake 4 will take place after Quake 2 left off. You'll be fighting the "strogg" which are basically cyborgs with a creepy zombie look to them.

This is where I got excited.

They'll be using the Doom 3 engine to run the game.

I haven't done any research on this, and its probably old news, but I heard that there was going to be another expansion for Half-Life 2 to follow that horrid ending where you play as...Crap, whatever the girl's name is. Any other news on this?

I'm pretty sure AoE3 will suck, they're going to focus wayy too much on the graphics like Warcraft.

Yeah, theres a whole thread, but I'll sum it up for you.

Basically after the explosion, you escape to the coast with Alyx, the story now focuses more on her. Also some fisherman guy helps you or something. I think you just sail off at the end.

The only way it'll suck is if they take the old gameplay and make it weird? I mean. They could port in all the units and everything from the other game and it'd be a hit.
