Sorry to bump this but I think I sent the wrong message with my initial post (essp to zeus, my appologies to anyone living in monarchy that have the looming posibility of a nude king in their country).

It's "ok" to like anything, but it does reflect on the maturity of your tastes. Musical reasons such as lyrics, rythm, beat, flow, timing, etc are all legitmate and more improtantly real reasons people like or don't like music. Hating or loving weezer becuase of their role in the development of "emo" really has no bearing on how their music sounds. You can argue all day about who invented what, but if you're one of the confused people who acctually listens to music soley for the street cred factor then you're only cheating yourself.
