The first cd I listened to as a kid was a collection album called Route 66 vol.2 (we didn't have volume 1) I listened to it SO fucking much...
    Toto - Hold The Line
Golden Earring - Another 45 Miles
Reo Speedwagon - Keep On Loving you
John Lee Hooker - In The Mood
    Jimi Hendrix - Hey Joe
    Boston - Don't Look Back
Ram Jam - Black Betty (awesome song)
Canned Heat - On The Road Again
Edgar Winter Group - Free Ride
Steve Miller Band - Fly Like An Eagle
Bachman Turner Overdrive - You ain't seen nothing yet
Eddie Money - Take Me Home Tonight
Bad English - Straight to your heart
    Steppenwolf - Magic Carpet Ride
The Byrds - Turn! Turn! Turn!
    Mother's Finest - Baby Love
David Lee Johnson - River Come Down
    Santana - Hold On
Kansas - Dust In The Wind (such an emotional last song)

      Already happened to me.

I think if I were to pick my earliest favorite song it would be:
      Heartache Tonight - The Eagles
      Hey Joe - Hendrix
      or
      La Grange - ZZ Top

Thinking about that feels like it was forever ago.
