You probably dont know what i mean, but when i list mine you will understand. or maybe i am alone in having a playlist that isnt straight-up songs released on albums.
as for me, some of the weirder stuff on my playlist is:
-recordings from my iriver of things that have happened in my life (i put my iriver in my pocket and hit record). among them are my friends and i drinking in my dorm, lectures, and random shit like me dropping my calculus class.
-me playing songs on my guitar
-midi files of beatles songs like "julia," "let it be" and "hello goodbye."
-the song "you never give me your money" by the beatles, in slow motion. (i like the instrumental part in the middle in slow motion)
-alvin and the chipmunk's christmas
-the commercials from the radio stations on the game "sim copter." interspersing them through my playlist gives it a more radio-like feel, and the commercials themselves are short and funny.
-music from "goldeneye 64" and "sonic the hedgehog"
-windows xp welcome music. the song they play after you successfully instal windows xp. i liked it.
-a 17 second midi that i composed myself. it is gloriously cacophonous.
-the music from "the sims" radio stations.
-my 311 music collection is worth mentioning. i have tons of rarities, live versions, and remixes. there is even an acoustic version of one of their songs that was composed and sung by someone on the 311bb in their spare time.
