looking for some good FTP server software

so yeah, what's some good FTP software? i want to run a small server for a few friends, mostly as a means of trading music back and forth.

and remember, i'm talking servers not clients.

man, setting up an ftp through a modem/firewall/router is a pain the proverbial nuts. i don't think i have the patience for this.

Currently using raiden and its pretty fast (on dorms 100 Mbit network) and doesnt slow down computer that much as BulletProofG6 which i had before. Bullet is quite shit but easily configurable...

I've always used Serv-U in the past.

It's not very hard to set up if you have a router. Lookup 'port forwarding' on google; you'll probably be able to find a guide for your specific router.

Many versions of serv-u are quite easily exploitable. If you have specific versions of serv-u running, it is possible to take over the system from remote.
