  • hi, read this.

I got this in an eamil today and i was like whoa that's so me.

    Being Twenty-Something..."
    > >
    > > They call it the "Quarter-life Crisis." It is when you stop going along with the crowd and start realising that there are many things about yourself that you didn't know and may not like. You start feeling insecure and wonder where you will be in a year or two, but then get scared because you barely know where you are now.

You start realising that people are selfish and that, maybe, those friends that you thought you were so close to aren't exactly the greatest people you have ever met, and the people you have lost touch
with are some of the most important ones. What you don't recognise is
that they are realising that too, and aren't really cold, catty, mean
or insincere, but that they are as confused as you.

You look at your job...and it is not even close to what you thought you would be doing, or maybe you are looking for a job and realising that you are going to have to start at the bottom and that scares you.

Your opinions have gotten stronger. You see what others are doing and
find yourself judging more than usual because suddenly you realise that you have certain boundaries in your life and are constantly adding things to your list of what is acceptable and what isn't.

One minute, you are insecure and then the next, secure. You laugh and
cry with the greatest force of your life. You feel alone and scared and confused. Suddenly, change is the enemy and you try and cling on to the past with dear life, but soon realise that the past is drifting further and further away, and there is nothing to do but stay where you are or move forward.

You get your heart broken and wonder how someone you loved could do
such damage to you. Or you lay in bed and wonder why you can't meet anyone decent enough that you want to get to know better.

Or maybe you love someone but love someone else too and cannot figure
out why you are doing this because you know that you aren't a bad
    person.

One nightstands and random hook ups start to look cheap. Getting wasted and acting like an idiot starts to look pathetic.

You go through the same emotions and questions over and over, and talk with your friends about the same topics because you cannot seem to make a decision.

You worry about loans, money, the future and making a life for
yourself...and while winning the race would be great, right now you'd
just like to be a contender!

What you may not realise is that everyone reading this relates to it.

We are in our best of times and our worst of times, trying as hard as
we can to figure this whole thing out.

Send this to your twenty-something friends...maybe it will help someone feel like they aren't alone in their state of confusion...

"It is one of the blessings of old friends that you can afford to be stupid with them." - Ralph Waldo Emerson
There once was a man from Nantucket.

    Wait til you reach 30
Ünited Stätes Toughens Image With Umlauts WASHINGTON, DC—In a move designed to make the United States seem more "bad-assed and scary in a quasi-heavy-metal manner," Congress passed a bill Monday changing the nation's name to the Ünited Stätes of Ämerica. "Much like Mötley Crüe and Motörhead, the Ünited Stätes is not to be messed with," said Sen. James Inhofe (R-OK). An upcoming redesign of the Ämerican flag will feature the new name in burnished silver wrought in a jagged, gothic font and bolted to a black background. A new national anthem is also in the works, to be written by composer Glenn Danzig and tentatively titled "Howl Of The She-Demon."

Ignorance IS a bless ... Call me cynical, but I can't help noticing that self deceiving people are usually the happiest.
You can be a billionary, look like a super model and has a brain of Einstin, but that just means that you probably spend all you time managing your wealth, not be able to enjoy your meals in order to keep your figure and have panic attacks because as you grow older, you brain will decay and in 20 years time you are no better off than a anyone else.

I can't write poems but I will try

Happiness is a state of mind,
A puzzle made of pieces I can't find.
I dream there might be bright days,
But the truth reminds on my mind always.

Doubt is like a barren place,
It forever reaching out for human faith.
If it is for love the journey I dive,
Then I lost the map and tired from overdrive.

Dude, if I didn't shut up after the first time or the second time I had seen a post that begged me to STFU, then do you really think I would stop talking if you repeat the same message 100 times?

Sometimes I just love persistent idiots, they think that they can make world a better place by repeating the same dumb statement a million times.

                        TelCat: STFU

                        Ooops, it DIDN'T work.

ALSO: The trick to being happy is to avoid fulltime work for as long as possible, even if that means 18 credit semesters. Because there is nothing worse than work.
