  • BadApple iTunes plugin Fake.

I think I would feel remiss if I didn't let you poor Windows guys know.

    http://badapple.yourbb.net/badapple-forum-2.html

That little plugin is a fake. Don't use it.
It reroutes itunes music store requests back to localhost,
and screws up your HOSTS file, and lord knows what else.
As one guy on that forum puts it:
    1. Anonymous Domain Registration - CHECK
    2. Anonymous Author - CHECK
    3. Promises of free disirable functionality that nobody else has figures out - CHECK
    4. Users experiencing a miriad of network problems after install - CHECK
    5. Link to "source code" file that can't be read - CHECK

What's yours Tone? I'd be interested with all your laughing to see how yours stack up against mine.

Edit: I'd also like to note that the reason for the post was to maybe warn people from screwing up their Windows boxes unintentionally, because you know, it really doesn't affect my mac in the least.
