no you don't, you only choose 5 shooters and then they repeat. Unless they're changing it? That's the way it's always been.

Under IIHF rules, if it's still tied after 5 shooters they have to pick players who haven't yet shot.

You remember when the Czechs and Canada had the shootout. They didn't choose new players on that one, and that's what I was going by. and still losing in a shootout is a shitty way to lose. Breaks your heart so much more.

But you still get a point whether you tied or lost. It might not feel as good, but a point's a point. Hockey players not named Jeremy Roenick have thick skins.

Were you referring to the Nagano Olympics when Canada and the Czech Republic had a shootout? If you were, then you had the facts wrong. Robert Reichel scored on the first shootout shot for the Czechs and Canada missed all 5 of their shots so they didn't go to extra shooters.

I'm probably going nuts. My nose hasn't stopped bleeding for two days.

TK I meant that games should end to a tie after overtime, no shootout or endless ot in reg season. Mb there, should have been more specific.

And I agree about the playoffs (no shootout), but ties belong to ice-hockey imo.
