  • I bought these CD's

So, this weekend, up in my gf's neighborhood, they had this thing called street fair, where a bunch of sorta small local business' set up stands, and sell all there hippy dresses and shit.

Anyways, one of the business' was Easy Street Record Co.

They were selling new CD's for two bucks a pop, or 3 for $5. So I jumped all over this and bought the following CD's

    Alexisonfire- Self Titled
Motion City Soundtrack- I Am the Movie
From First to Last- Dear Diary, My Teen Angst Has a Body Count
    The Academy is...- Almost Here
    Comeback Kid- Wake the Dead
Rise Against- Siren Sound of the Counter-Culture
    LostProphets- Start Something

I got all 7 of these CD's, new, not used, for only 12 bucks.

It was orgasmic to say the least.

I just bought "Tulips" for $5. Not good considering it's just a video, the song, and a remix of the song. Even worse since it was a gift which I now have to replace. I think purchasing music legally would be more appealing if the value was more consistent. Itunes works out to the same price as a cd if you wanted to get an entire cd, so sans cd and inherent compression means it's not worth it. I used to love buying a new CD for the artwork, but now the DMCA big-as-hell logo ruined that. Imagine if RATM were alive and well and their label sony plasterd federal anti-piracy stickers on their new stuff, irony city. So i'm left with the used CD shop. $2 - $8 for a used cd is a good deal. I wish new releases had the same quality based pricing system. I also wish depressing music was more expensive
