This news story sounds a bit BS. He personally met with drug lords in 2002? He was busy running away to Pakistan in 2002. Besides enough people die from cocaine already, why would the drug lords be worried about more retaliation if the US is already spending billions to flush them out in Columbia? Sounds like a BS article to me.

I agree that it's bullshit, but I don't think the article meant that the druglords are frightened about a US retaliation. They just think it might be bad for future business if all of their customers dropped dead? Sounds logical to me
