Google Talk available

Google's IM client, Google Talk, is now available for Windows. You can also access it using any client that supports the Jabber protocol (such as Gaim).

So far it's kinda featureless, but there are some nice things about it. However, the last thing we needed was another damn IM service.

I recently used the VoIP to check on my insurance nest egg (jerome). It works much better than yahoo's or AIM's. The interface is minimalisitc just the way I like it, no horrible aquablue future jelly default themes or smilie set that resemble fetal alcohol babies with jaundice. Being one click away from talking to or emailing anyone on my list is a marked improvment over current base line chat progs.
