My girlfriend recently pointed out something that should be somewhat plainly evident:

Scientology pretty much is based upon the belief that you can elevate yourself on a spiritual level to a god of some sorts. A lot of actors have moderate-to-severe god complexes, therefore, it isn't necessarily a coincidence that a lot of actors are Scientologists.
