Exactly the same as the original... except with 3D graphics and battles. But it got shut down

Hands down Final Fantasy Tactics was the best FF ever. It has only one real fault, and that is that the story is a little too deep and intense, and it will lose a few guys with ADD and no patience. Good graphics considering it was PS1, throws cloud in for those old school guys (he sucks though, tottaly sucks)

FFT also has the most unbalanced character in the FF series...I was about to go on a rant about how Orlando is rediculously powerful but think for a second... so was KOTR, so was Yuna in FFX (with the aeons, you cast haste on her and she'll summon a new one before the enemy gets a turn for killing an old one...not to mention the magus sisters, baha, anima are basically unstopable.

X-2 was a lot to girly for me, a lot to much dress up of characters who *SHOCKINGLY* i'm notsexually attracted too (I know, a thousand nerds just cried in unison, but there pixels guys, go get real girls)

Finally someone that agree's with me. Have you tried Tactics Advanced?

Finally someone that agree's with me. Have you tried Tactics Advanced?

Final Fantasy Tactics is the deepest of all the Final Fantasies. Deepest plot, uber customization and great battle system(requires more planning and real knowledge of the game instead of equipping someone with the most powerful spell and just hitting X over and over).

However... Tactics Advance was pitiful... battle system, good, customization, same level as the original, story.... WTF! She is fucking staying in Ivalice just because of her HAIR COLOR?!?! The moment I got to that point in the story... I turned off my GBA SP and never played Tactics Advance again. Something like that is such a slap in the face to the original's deep story.

At one point I was trying a Ramza solo game, but I kinda lost interest after a few battles.

You can definately take a lot of the strategic planning out of the game, though. With some stat buffing and the Blade Grasp (I think thats the one) skill, you get something like a 99% chance to block Melee attacks. Also Orlandu or whatever is basically a walking tank; when you get him, you can pretty much do the rest of the game with just him. I think they might have put him in for people that suck at the game to use. :P

9 fuckin sucked, The whole Limit Break system that was in it was pitiful. Story was ok but the main character was just a queer. Theres so many faults to list, it was a terrible sequel imo. 7 was good, 8 was good but slightly not as great as 7, and 9 just was garbage until something fairly good (X) came out. Though, i'd have to say now after a while of thought, Tactics was the best.

9 has the best characters, with great personalities.

Who cares about the limitbreak?
You get tired after seeing Lionheart/Renzokuken after 5 times FF8/FF7 anyways.

Zidane was queer? Maybe, but he isnt the typical hero so it's more fun to play him, and all the other characters are funny too. Like when they talk about Quina and refer to it as he/she all the time, since they don't know the gender. Or when Eiko tries to hit on Zidane all the time

FF9 is the only FF game that made me laugh a lot.

I actually fell asleep several times when i played through FFX, ending the game with crazy playing hours. Was boring from the start to the end.

FFX got crazy easy at the end, as all my players could hit for 99,999 hp killed the end boss in one turn of hits.

Maybe i might take up Final Fantasy Tactics never really thought about it

my favourite battle is inside Muround When you first get inside the church, and you fight the 3 guys (Vormav, and the other two less important ones) Theres all this talking before hand and it looks like it's going to be a very very hard battle. You're basically facing three bosses at once...

and with Haste, Orlando gets the first turn, hits all 3 with a lighting stab and either kills 2 and cripples the third or kills all 3.

Fuck I laugh at that battle.




As far as FFIX goes, I liked the idea of a thief hero, as he was way out of the ordinary from all the paladins of the past. I also enjoyed vivi and the old school black mage-ness. The story was okay at best, and it lacked quite a few things, but it was all in all a good game.


As far as FF X-2 goes, i finally put it back in my ps2 and played it today. I had stopped basically 30 min from the end of the game so finally beat it and i was SO disapointed. X-2 had a ridiculously hard fight in that big guy you fight in the desert with 300,000+ hp and Vegnagun was such a pushover. The leg in particular could be defeated in like 3 minutes. I enjoyed how you started at the bottom and had to work your way up kinda like FF3, cause it took me back but all in all the main enemy was ridiculously poor, both vegnagun and shuyin. The ending was ok, I didn't have 100% (i have like 95, fuck the hell off) so i didn't see the "best" but i did the whistle at the farplane and all that, so i got the "good"

It's okay...on the lower end of the FFs.

Vegnagun and Shuyin were both so easy. I just went Rikku/Paine as Dark Knights, Yuna as White Mage and just did Darkness/Dark Storm(whatever it's called) over and over and healed them both...
