      You're tellin me ... I guess we can start our speculations of wtf is going on.

      My theory:

      That's Big Boss, he never died because he's just too good to die, even to Solid Snake. Now, with what seems to be the birth of wide-spread Metal Gears destroying the world, Big Boss and Solid Snake team up to take on the Patriots for the stunning conclusion to the Metal Gear Saga.

      (Note: This is a random idea I got at 1:25 am... probably wrong, but this is my favourite time with Metal Gear ... the time before it's released to try to guess what will happen, and be totally wrong when you get it.)

        love the metal gear series, and this looks like it kicks huge ass, cant wait

                    MGS3 was the best.

                    The story was simply amazing, unless you skipped it all.

                      Well, from the promo picture, on the right side you see a picture of big boss, so he's obviously playing some sort of role in the game. (Its a blue picture, first one released officially for the game, with the drawings)
