I am curious to know if there has been anything new on TV to watch from Ade Edmunson & Rik Mayall lately?

Last thing I had seen / purchased was the series "Bottom" a few yrs ago.

How can one not cherish the antics of the character of Eddie Hitler?

Unfortunately, no. Rick Mayall is currently doing this drama/comedy thing that's being shown at the moment (haven't seen it), but from what I've been told it's very mediocre and not very funny. I'm not sure what Ade's doing.

I'd like them to do something together again; I've always loved Bottom and the Young Ones. They still show Bottom on a satellite channel now and then, but that's about it

I saw that the Complete Comic Strip Boxset on DVD is avail. but on on PAL format.

That had Nigel Planer as a cast member too.

Just hoping that it comes out on NTSC Format here.

lol, bottom is from the 80's/90's, I own all three series on DVD $$

They do an annual tour which you can buy on DVD too. But like Nailed says they're pretyt much into dramas and sitcoms nobody watches.

Also, try and purchase 'The Young Ones'. It's like Bottom but set in their student days with some extra characters, IMHO it beats Bottom, I guarantee you that you won't be disappointed.

Yeah that new series Rik Mayall does is bloody awful.

Have everything mentioned already. Was just hoping something new had been released.

I did enjoy the Comic Strip...and am hoping it will be released to Canada on an NTSC format.

I know it is dated material...but hey I am an old man when it comes down to ages of ppl on these forums <_< such is life on a boring day at work.

I was watching the Young Ones back when they came out...was broadcast on MTV when they played only Music Vids all day and shows like the young ones after 11PM...ahhh the Martha Quinn days. For me .....that was 1982.

Sad to say I went to see Bad News at sheffield city hall when they briefly toured around the UK. I can't think of anything good they've done recently. Ade Edmunson did some hospital comedy thing not long ago where he played a doctor, fucking abysmal.

I guess you know about The New Statesman with Rik Mayal, not very recent but one of the best things he's done imho.
