It's going to sound cheesy but for the persuasive, I was thinking of trying to inspire (persuade is probably a better word given the speech type) the people in my class to connect with and try to learn more from the people they interact with daily. This ties into my "what happened" topic, but I think that emotionally and to an extent, socially- we would do better if we were more connected with those around us. It's sort of like the comfort level you have when you're around your best friends, or when you talk to an old friend you haven't seen in years and are "vibing" with them, re-living that bond that you had with them. Does it seem easier to go to a class where you are friends with a good amount of the people there? How about that way for your job? A stranger doing something nice for you make the day a little bit better? Maybe not since this is trench wars and everyone here is a lumberjack that punches bears in their faces for fun (or you're a "nerd" lolool), but hopefully someone will get what I'm talking about.
There's a huge problem with being in classes with lots of your friends(or even no friends), if you pull out a pack of gum, everyone wants a piece <_<

"There are those who said this day would never come. What have they to say now?"
    .Halo.

An Informative Speech is usually the easier route than the persuasive type.

An informative speech can be disgned to read like an outline.

Persuasive speech uses a pro vs con method.

Informative can be visual as well. You could create an on the go creative way to have a healthy lunch while at school to avoid the vending machines. So many things....there is always the informative speech that every college has, when one demonstrates how to roll a joint.

Be creative, but don't kill yourself over it. Most of the good speeches I had heard when I had speech/communications in college where the most basi and simple topics of something that could be an every day procedure.
May your shit come to life and kiss you on the face.
