well, I generally stay away from MMORPG's because I"m afraid that I'll get addicted to them and find excuses to go play them whenever I can. I already have senioritis and really need to graduate and get a job or something stupid.
maybe start being a serial monogamist again.

Heh I read through this page of the topic at school, her pic didn't load but yours did- I thought that's how her chin actually looked, rofl. Gj sarien
Mine didn't load? Maybe because it's a gigantic picture, it should load on your own computer
lol he did sort of fuck up my chin but besides that, awesome photoshopping, it scared the shit out of me because now I know my "ohhashlee@freewebs" might be edited out of all of my pictures. I'll have to use more complicated/big fonts from now on

Let's see you do better, punchy.
And naw Ashlee my point wasn't that you needed to be more careful.
Just that you probably ought not care, either that or not post.
On the other hand, I would like a picture of Tone or Exalt to work with.
I was at school when I first read this thread, and no the school comp didn't let your pic load, don't ask me why.
My father in law was telling me over Thanksgiving about this amazing bartender at some bar he frequented who could shake a martini and fill it to the rim with no leftovers and he thought it was the coolest thing he'd ever seen. I then proceeded to his home bar and made four martinis in one shaker with unfamiliar glassware and a non standard shaker and did the same thing. From that moment forward I knew he had no compunction about my cock ever being in his daughter's mouth.
Replayability in an ever-expanding universe, RPGs are the games you pick up and never put down, I get bored with all my shooter games because they're pretty much just the same all the time.
I'd really love to play WoW as two of my closest friends play it but I dont have a credit/debit card and I cant guarantee my parents that I'll get enough money each month, even though my dad is pretty filthy rich and it wouldn't harm him to pay the £8 every month.
Another note: WoW has like 6 million players right? £8*6,000,000 every month.
I didn't have time to read all the replies, but I'm guessing we are no where near the original topic, so my opinions are probably a waste (as usual right?).
Even so.... MMORPG's are the next best thing to going out and living your life. You get some level of human interaction, you get to place all your self worth into an online character that provides immediate and regular pay offs every time you level or get a new item. Plus, where else can a 14 year old aquire (online) power, wealth, and influence that is the real world equivilent of a CEO. And besides all that, it's just so much easier to sit in your room and focus all your emotions and effort into a game they to go outside and actually accomplish something productive.
Obviously, I think this is a horrible choice for a life... even though I've chosen it for myself in the past. My little brother (age 20) plays WoW about 60 hours a week, emerging from his room periodically to get food or go to class. If you have not tried MMORPG's, don't bother getting into them unless you have 40-60 free hours a week and no interest in getting or maintaining a healthy social life.

I used to think the same way, but currently I play WoW around 6-10 hours a week. Still get to play through high end content and no stress to have to play. Through the summer I played baseball, umpired, and worked 40 hours a week. Winter, working 60 hours a week and curling at night. People just make the choice to play for 40+ hours a week (my roommate got fired from his job and played WoW 12+ hours a day for 8 months before getting another job), but you can play MMORPG's and still be motivated to learn/work and better yourself.

Completely agree with you Ronin. If you can limit yourself to playing it only 10 hours a week or so there isn't a problem. It's just that MMORPG's are usually designed (WoW is the best I've seen at this) so that in order to really make progress and expirience most of the content you feel obligated to put in that 50-60 hours a week. It also factors into the subscription fee. Since you are paying $15 a month people feel like they are getting their money's worth if they play more. Nothing wrong with doing most anything casually.... MMO's are just setup to make it very very tempting to become one of those hardcore people.
