Whats the difference between a stark and spare shot?

If anyone knows, hit me up!

Hmm, I know there is a stark effect in physics that deals with optics, but I'm not sure how it applies to photography.

But just going off the definition of the words, stark shot could be a harsh or minimal shot, and a spare shot could be extra shots of something particular. I have no idea, though.

‘Spare’ and ‘stark’ mean about the same thing, is the context the subject of the photo or the is the context the photography technique?

If the context is the subject of the photo, then I would say they are the same thing. A photo with a barren, bleak or desolate theme.

If the content is the photography technique, then wouldn’t a stark shot be one with high contrast, making something stand out against another thing?
