Hmm...

I could use a new computer, but there is no way I will get that for Christmas. Most likely I will buy it (or rather, the components) myself at some point out of my savings and build it after exams. On the same note, I could use an external HD for backup purposes, but again I will go build it myself out of my own money, and I'm not sure when I will do these things, because they cost quite a bit and while I have alot saved up I don't want to burn it too fast.

I could also use some audio equipment. I'm thinking of Etymotic Er-4p (or Er-4s) and some USB soundcard to run it out of. Like, Waveterminal U24 -> Etymotic Er-4s. Again though the cost is high so I will think about it for a while (actually, I have already thought for a long time and am still tossing around ideas). Also some CDs (Dream Theater, Sonata Arctica, Yuki Kajiura / See-Saw). As before there is no way that I will get these as presents. I was thinking of a bigger storage mp3 player for a while but at the moment I don't think I have use for one. If they finally come out with one that has gapless playback and isn't broken (like Rio Karma) I will consider buying it and using it both for portable and home use. Otherwise I will stick with the 1gb flash player (iAudio U2) which I find to be very convenient around my neck on the same lanyard that holds keys and ID card.

Most likely I will get money for Christmas, I will put it in my checking account, I will "research" for 1 month on what to buy, and then I will buy the exact same thing that I was intending to buy at the beginning of the month.

Now, what is everyone else thinking of getting _other_ people for Christmas? I think I will discharge my debt to Gainax and come up with a Christmas gift to my sister simultaneously by buying her the Neon Genesis Evangelion thinkpack along with End of Evangelion. I have the Renewal fansub of that on my computer, but I find NGE to be exceedingly great and it's really my responsibility to repay Gainax and its distributors for it. I will hold off on paying off other downloaded animes for a while since again it costs a fair bit.

I asked when I was 16 and my dad went and picked up a employment form for me from Genuardi's... took me about a yr or so to make enough money as a cashier to get a car. Then he helped me get my license. Good times.

What my family does is, on Thanksgiving we make a short list of items we'd like then put them all in a hat and draw names. We do this to keep Christmas affordable, since no one has a lot of extra money. I asked for socks, shirts, and new curling shoes. (Put them on there as a joke, don't think I'll get em since it's $190)
I don't usually have any specific wishlists for Christmas, always find it difficult asking someone to spend large amounts of money on me. Kinda the need/want thing gets to me.

I want a lot of things but I know I need to buy them myself because no one's buying me anything anymore, I guess I'm too old. I'll probably get a shirt or two though which is nice. I used to hate soft presents.

Also, I've grown to hate christmas. I can already see christmas ads all over the city and it's annoying. Who the fuck cares if jesus was born on 25th of december. And those who think it's a time when people are together and love each other etc, why can't you do that some other time when it's not so fucking crowded? Plenty of time to do that aaanytime.
