    Bird flu remedies.

    I saw a sign on the way to work offering 'cures' for the bird flu. Some herbal remedies store.
    Seriously, wtf.
    People prey on others insecurities so much its sickening, shit like this.
    I mean, bird flu hasn't even ARRIVED in New Zealand.

      We had an exchange student living with us from New Zealand
      She was cool. She said bizarre alot, and tar-tar sauce was tare-tare sauce. Oh the memories.

          Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't the bird flu only for birds (until mutant genes make the virus evolve so that humans can get them)?

            Theres a couple of bird-human transfers, so humans can catch it from birds, but so far, humans can't catch it from other humans. Its a human-human transfer that people are worried about.

              O.K., in NZ, are there any laws against this? Or is this a dietary supplement store (I know dietary supplements aren't regulated by the FDA in the U.S.)

                No laws that I know of. Today they were advertising chemical free sunscreen.
                I haven't actually been into the store although I might take a look today or tommorow, but they're called 'Essential Remedies' so I'm guessing that they're some sort of herbal/semi-mystical remedy shop
