We have one, no worries. It was just a few rooms away, so the gas hadn't wafted over there yet. I was lucky enough to walk through the kitchen, and I heard the sound of the gas escaping. The dumb ghost is trying to kill me

I once was alone at my dads house when I was ten and was walking pass a door and heard a girl whisper "help me". This is the middle of no where so there were only 5 or so neighbors within a mile, none within a half a mile. It was the middle of the day and I was awake. There was no TV in the room and no tv or radio in the house was on.
I found out later that when my mom lived there she had seen a ghost that looked like a girl about 4 years old, periodically. My dad has seen the ghost once, too, after they had divorced and after he had laughed at the idea of a ghost.
Oh, and yes I did feel guilty about no answering a voice that crying for help, but the voice was so spooky I didn't pass by the door again until someone had returned.
People who are rather more than six feet tall and nearly as broad across the shoulders often have uneventful journeys. People jump out at them from behind rocks then say things like, "Oh. Sorry. I thought you were someone else."
My house is over 100 years old, so I've had a few small experiences. I've never actually seen it, but it has done things. Once, it was about 9PM, and I was in my bedroom reading before I was going to sleep. I had on the light next to my bed, which is fairly bright, but that was all. Then I heard this click, and couldn't figure out was it was. I was looking around my room and didn't see anything. Then, I lookup up and saw that the Christmas lights I have strung around my bed were on. The click was the lightswitch turning them on. The freaky part about this is the fact that they hadn't worked in weeks. So I was a bit scared, because my door was closed and my family was either asleep already or downstairs. So I did the only logical thing, cower under the covers. And of course, I heard footsteps pacing my room, and slowly coming closer to my bed. I also heard some heavy breathing. Verrrrry freaky.
A few other things like that have happened as well. We have a gas stove, and another time when I was home alone it magically got turned on. Well, the gas was leaking out but there wasn't a flame. Luckily I saw it after a few minutes. Sometimes lamps get knocked down or turned on. TVs turn on by themselves. Just little things like that. No one has seen it yet, to the best of my knowledge.
That was no ghost, that was just Bilbo.
And I hope I didn't steal TK's thunder.

I was jogging one night, after 10 prolly, and when I came back I noticed my sister and her friend rollerskating outside on the street. They called me and asked me if I wanted to play with them. I said no, cuz I was gonna stretch first, maybe later.
So I do my thing, go up to our flat and say to mum that the sis is such an ass cuz she can play outside and can't go do something for me that I've asked her to do before I went out. And then sis comes out of the bathroom: what's wrong with you boy...and I'm like...wtf...I check the street, no one there...like, really...wtf
Crazy thing is that I can't remember their faces or clothes, but I know it's been them because I had recognised their voices...
I was 18-19 yrs old at that time

My ex-gf lives in a house which is about 150 years old, and so far 3 people died in it, 2 of which were suicides (one woman hanged herself, and the other guy was murdered right on the doorstep with an axe and died on the spot). There were quite a few scary stories she told me, for example one night, her father felt that a cat or something was walking around on the bed, and repeatedly walked over his feet...strange enough they had no cats at that time. Another story came from her brother. Once he was standing at the window in his room, and heard a weird whooshing noise...the noise grew stronger, and it felt like whatever was causing that noise was flying fast straight towards his window. Was like a strong wind blowing through high grass. Right before the "thing" arrived at the house, he closed his window...Then there were the stories of Barbara (my ex) and her grandmother who passed away years ago. She liked telling me about how often her ghost would visit her and sleep next to her in the bed, along with the breathing sounds...Suffice to say I was reluctant to have wild sex in that bed :P One day when I was sleeping there, i heard something sneaking around under the window, then all was quiet for a few seconds, and then SUDDENLY something banged against the front door with a huge force. Sounded like the doors would just fall down...Creepy memories.
And my grandmother (who was an adventist, which is kinda a stricter religion than catholicism) often told me about the lights she saw above one of the antennas on the nearby hill in the city she lived in before she died. Usually it was 2 or more bright lights dancing and making WHOOSHING sounds, for hours straight...and I believe her, since she was deeply religious and would never ever lie in the face of God.
Last thing as far as I remember was an UFO sighting. I was 8 or 9 at that time and was in a boyscout camp. We used to hold a watch each night, and when it was my turn (around 2 am) I had quite a strange occurance. By chance I looked up at the starry nightsky and saw a HUUUUUUUUGE triangular object fly past, with a relatively low speed, and it seemed as if the object was no more than 2 or 300 meters above the ground. It was totally black, except for one green, one red and one white light at each corner. Strangely enough I wasnt scared at all.

O and has anybody ever woken up in the middle of the night or a nap and ur body just froze and u cant speak or anything and it feels like somethig his holding u down? never happened to me but some of my family members it has...
That actually happens to a lot of ppl, has nothing really to do with ghosts, but just that after sleeping or napping, your mind wakes up, but your body is still paralyzed, you are completely conscious, just that you are completely paralyzed. Most of the time when this happens to a person, usually the person is scared shitless because they cannot move and can sometimes take a while before you completely wake up. But it has all to do with sleep.

So this one time, me, my brother(Stompa), and my cousin were going out to this "haunted" abandoned school; aka The Ellerbe School. The place is creepy as fuck, you can probably google it and find pictures, but it was just the 3 of us at like 3:30 in the morning, with one weak flashlight, and my little LED keychain thing, which did nearly absolutely nothing. So we're trying to find the gym, because we've heard stories about it, we get to the last wing of the school, and we were about to go in, when we hear this breathing noise or something, we assume it is just a cow, because they are all over the place there, so we take one step towards the door.. and some fucking thing just screams the loudest and most annoying sound ive ever heard. We all looked at each other and turned and powerwalked our asses out of there, never really found out what that was..

That thing is the reason most people think they had a contact with a ghost.
In our old apartment there used to be a ghost. One hot summer day I couldn't sleep, and I let my hand hang outside of the bed. Then suddenly something cold grabs it, and I'm like wtf, and try to pull it back, but it won't let go, so I get scared and grab the hand as hard as I can, then it grabs me harder, and suddenly it dissappears.
One time, my cousin just moved into a big and old house, and he's the kind that knows that ghosts doesn't exist, and laugh each time he hears people talk about it.
One night at 3-4 am, he and I were sitting in the livingroom playing Ps2, when suddenly we hear really heavy steps, I get scared and try to listen closely, my cousin just laughs and ignores it, when suddenly both of us feel something hot breathing at us, we ignore it (I almost pee'd on me), then it gets closer, and we feel the breath right up our face. Then my cousin freaks out and runs out of the house, with me running after (without shoes). We got back 30 mins later to get shoes, then went out and walked until the morning.
Ghosts exists, no doubt. But some of you are just superstitious, saying it's ghosts when regular things happen.

Bitterness is like cancer. It eats upon the host. But anger is like fire. It burns it all clean.
There are no such things as ghosts. If your hands can mistype, your eyes can misread, your ear can misshear then your brain can misfunction too.
Besides not like I have faith in your memory.
I live in a hundred year old house too - by myself. My brand new mobile phone turned itself on twice at night (because that is the time I turn it off) and my TV turned itself on once. I could blame on a ghost, but it is more likely a faulty mobile and a bug landed on my TV remote control.
I've experienced the sleep paralysis thing, I think theres a medical term for it... "waking dream" or something like that? It's not uncommon i dont think.

Bio, it happens all the time, typical that people think they got a contact with a ghost when that happens, my mom thinks that all the time, I try to explain, but it doesn't help.
