Some poetry keeners?

This is about helping me, a lost english student.

So yea, if any of you are especially keen or interested to poetry, perhaps you could help me out here. I'm about to start this poetry project, which I believe will be an anthology of sorts with a theme that I have yet to discover. There are some kinds of poems that I would like to look at closer so that I can uncover a possible theme, these types being:

- a poem about self reflection
- a poem about a significant other or close friend
- a poem about a friend who's suffered a loss
- a poem about someone celebrating an achievement or attained goal in their life
- a poem about someone who loves sports and hates poetry

If you don't have a published poem on your mind that the above topics don't ring a bell for, perhaps you could maybe post a link where I can search up poems. I already have a bunch, and am still amassing poems, but more links couldn't hurt.

I reread my initial post, and it may have come to be too much to swallow. So in short, I'm basically looking for as many poems that fit into those 5 descriptions as I can. If you can think of or have seen any poems that may fit into these categories, _Please_ tell me where you found it, possibly the source, name and the poem so I can look into it further. Your help is appreciated.

I love poetry but almost all the good poems i know are in portuguese, portugal is considered by some to have been the cradle of some of the best poets. I could send you some but i don't think you would understood, and the translations <_< well it loses all the touch.

Check out the Lost Generation poets. I have alot of T.S. Eliot's work memorized, because it's fucking great.

Eliot's "The Love Song of J. Alfred Prufrock" - AMAZING. Every line is name-dropping something Eliot studied or read. Beautifully written, it's self-reflective, in the sense that it's about a man who is growing old and realizing he has alot left to do (mainly, declare his love to a woman)

Ezra Pound's "The River Merchant's Wife: A Letter" - Not actually Pound's own work, but a translation of an ancient Chinese poem. He manages the translation gorgeously. It's about a woman forced to marry but later learning to accept it and even falling in love with her husband. Might/might not apply
