I discovered what happened to you, man. You see, you know when to hold 'em, and you know when to fold 'em. But you seem to be lacking because you don't know when to walk away, or know when to run.

Also: You never count your money, when you're sittin' at the table. There'll be time enough for countin', when the dealin's done.

I just lost $30 by going all in pre-flop with AA, with two callers with QTs and 76s (all clubs- I also had Aclub). They both got backdoor flushes. Beat that.

my big slick got beaten by a guy with a 5 7 offsuit yesterday. Flop is Ace King five. he calls me when i push him all in, with the bottom pair, we show our cards and he talks all this shit saying "thats what i put you on"

if thats what you put me on, you fold nimrod.

          anyways, whats the turn? 5
          whats the river? 5

          fuck off

Out of curiosity where do you play that has $500 freerolls? Where bz, div, and I play the freerolls are only $50 and the same 2500 people. Not that I play freerolls, but I know Div likes em and a $500 freeroll would be decent.

I had a beat before where I was 99% on the flop, only way I could lose was if the turn and the river came up K. It happens. The one you had, eh dumb call, but it's calls like that that allow me to make money playing poker. God bless the stupid callers, each and every one.

Also if anyone knows of any good sites that have 6 man tournaments where the top 3 payout would be fantastic. That's my favorite tourny to play, like it so much better than the 5 man. Better payout and I don't find it anymore difficult to place in a 6 man than a 5 man. Pacific poker (where we play) offers them, but your options are limited to either $15 or $50. I'd love some $25 - $30 and also some $75-$100 6 man games.

Technically if you had 25,000 chips and bet 9000 that means you had 16,000 left. So after his 5000 bet you're reraising 11,000 more.

Now let's think about that. If he won 67,000 then we're assumming the pot was 56,000 when the decision came to him. So he's getting roughly 5:1 on his money if he makes the call. So if he has over 20% to win the pot it's not that bad of a call. With your cards he had 15.5% so it wasn't a good call. But if he thought you only had a pair then he had 33% and it would have been the right call. Of course since it's a tourny and not a cash game pot odds don't mean everything, but felt like pointing that out.

Except... I just realized there were two other people in the hand. So umm yeah his odds were probably like 5-10% and so not even 5:1 on his money is worth it. And he definitely wasn't getting 3:1 pot odds on the sidepot even if he thought he was 33% vs you.

Unless the sidepot was big the 5000 bet makes no sense, cause even if he does bluff you he's almost always going to lose the hand to the other guys and only pick up the sidepot. Big risk for a small gain.

Any 1/2-way decent player will check it all the way, unless they have a hand that will likely win. So if you bet, you'd better have it, or you might be tripling up the short stack.
There were 250 people left in the tournament. Whether the short stack triples up or not is completely irrelevant. Not to mention there's probably a big side pot waiting to be won on this one, since the other 2 guys couldn't cover the 9000 bet. Checking that down to increase the odds of knocking 2 people doesn't make sense.

At least Prima network has daily $1k freerolls but it has 12k players or so - not worth playing. And then sometimes some of Prima sites hold $5k to $10k freerolls few times a week (bet365 every saturday and currently nordicbet 2 times/week). Those are only worth playing imo.

I've never seen short-handed tables that payouts to top 3. It's always top 2.

Prima seems to have 6-handed stt's $5, $10, $20, $50 and $100. Don't know how those get filled up. But most of the tables are 5's, 8's and 10's.

I forgot to mention, there's a 2,000 player maximum on these freerolls too.

My friend, in his friend real money tournament (100 dollar buy-in). I don't know how far into it, but he left a comment on my myspace. He had 4 of a kind, and got beat out by a straight flush. Also in that hand, someone had a full house...so that was a big ass pot.

Two weeks ago I played freeroll where top 2 wins seat to EPT satellite where top 3 wins spots to copenhagen. That satellite also had $10k prize pool.

                              Today was that satellite.

I was out after 20 minutes.

                              GG me.

After 15 mins, blinds were 15-30 and I was in middle position, I got AKo and raised it to 110. 2 guys (button and other MP) called it. Flop came As Ks Jh. MP1 checks, I bet pot, button calls and MP1 goes all-in. I just can't fold hand like that - I thought he had AJ, KJ or flush draw. Well, he had QTo so he flopped straight. And while that wasn't enough, 2 more spades came giving him flush. Too bad I didn't have any spades.

Yay my stack was 170 after that.

Then I was in BB with QTo. Someone from MP limped and flop came with Q98 rainbow. Of course I went all-in with stack like that, to pair and straight draw. Well well, he had pocket kings and neither turn or river gave anything so I was out.

What a great tournament it was.

Yesterday, I found that partypoker gave me 25 dollars to play with...but I couldn't cash it out until I played 250 hands...still 25 dollars for free. But, playing at those small tables or little sit and gos, reminds me of how dumb people can be....poker isn't too fun playing on the internet because you got rich people playing the shittiest hands or just complete morons catching crap like none other.

I appreciate little home games and shit. Anyway, I lost the 25 dollars
