If you like fantasy books at all, the best series I've ever read is the 4 book series A Song of Ice and Fire by George R. R. Martin. The 4 books are:

    A Game of Thrones
    A Clash of Kings
    A Storm of Swords
A Feast for Crows (currently #4 on New York Times best selling original fiction I believe)

Very adult fantasy series involving detailed wars between families. Lots of sex, violence involving about 25-40 major characters and another 100 sub characters.

Is it sad that the first thing I thought of was Gene Wilder and the monster in Young Frankenstein singing "Put it on the Ritz".
People who are rather more than six feet tall and nearly as broad across the shoulders often have uneventful journeys. People jump out at them from behind rocks then say things like, "Oh. Sorry. I thought you were someone else."

I'm particularly addicted to the Wheel of Time series, and the Icewind Dale series as well.
I get alot of down time at work, so having a book to read is helpful for passing the time.
Also, another good series that I've read is Forge of God/Anvil of the Stars by Greg Bear. Its a very technical sci-fi book, so if you like that kind of book, by all means check it out.
                                I really do like pie
