Whats the diffrence between College and the University ?

In Norway we have University and "Høgskole", and the diffrence lies in the University mostly educating Master degrees and the "Høgskole" bachelor degrees.

Is college the same as "høgskole"?

In the Netherlands High School is divided into 3 main categories: VMBO (4 years) HAVO (5 years) and VWO (6 years). VMBO consists of vbo and mavo (well we can't call it that anymore but whatever). VMBO is for the "stupid" people, people are mostly far better with their hands, carpenters etc. A pretty practical education. Then you have HAVO wich is for like the avg people, not stupid not really smart, kinda inbetween practical en theoretical. VWO is divided into Atheneum and Gymnasium, both being the same only Gymnasium means you also get Greek and Latin. And that's really theoretical and stuff.

After VMBO you can go to MBO, wich is basicly school for carpenters, builders, the practical jobs sort of speak. After HAVO you can go both MBO and HBO, HBO having educations more for like the jobs inbetween the low class and high class (sort of speak). After VWO you can go to MBO, HBO or University. Uni having all the bachelor and master educations in everything. Most University courses take 4 years, most HBO courses take 4 or 5 years and MBO is mostly 4 years (not sure about this one).

After doing MBO you can move on to HBO and from HBO you can move on to Uni, and there are alot more ways to go from Havo to Uni taking tests and stuff, or after getting your HAVO diploma going on to get your VWO diploma etc.

Geometry in Ct is taken by 9th grade, Algebra usually is taken in 8th. I believe there's some sort of test you can take to take Pre-algebra in 6th, algebra in 7th and geometry in 8th.

Vert, do you go to IC? or Cornell?

Algebra
Geometry
Algebra 2



The normal grade for Algebra is 9th, Geo=10th, al2=11th

I'm a year ahead though :P
