The American team disappointed me. They were loaded with talent but never seemed to gel as a team and they lost their composures. It was funny how the whole arena started chanting "overrated" at them near the end of their loss to Finland. Russia was also very talented but the Canadians with less star power than their two chief rivals just plain out-worked the competition and the gold was well deserved. The Finns impressed me too. Despite their two losses to Canada they played well against the Americans and Rask was phenomenal in their game against Sweden. With Pogge and Rask coming up the ranks, the Leafs might soon have to decide on which of the two to keep as their goalie of the future.

I think the game would have been different if they awarded the Russians that goal they scored. it was obviously in on the replays, but it wasn't caught fast enough by the video judge or the Russian players. but nevertheless: Go Canada!

i expected a much more competitive game.. not a 5-0 raping in the final. that was clearly one of the biggest margins the team won by in the whole tournament

the first period of the final was by far one of the best periods of hockey i'd ever seen. The hitting, the fast paced action, tape to tape passes and awesome saves. The 2nd and 3rd were more like blah.

Russia won the first period cept for the last 5 mins. Pogge bailed them out early on. And while watching the Americans play the Russians, If they had stuck to their game plan and not let it open up so much, they would have won. They had some really strong skaters I was impressed with their speed.
