actually, for some reason ill always watch the oc when i come across it. i dont go out of my way to see it but if its on, i happen to be watching tv, and theres no good sports ill watch it, i find it strangely compelling. i find arrested development to be the napoleon dynamite of tv shows (i absolutely hate napoleon dynamite, for the record). ive watched 3-4 episodes and not laughed at a single part. even more strange, ive watched those 3-4 episodes with people who claim arrested development is really funny and they dont laugh either. maybe theres something lacking in my sense of humor but i just dont think theres anything funny about any of the characters. also the camera angles make me want to puke.

Well, AD is a lot like 24 where you have to watch from the beginning because there are a lot of running jokes and gags. There are also a lot of "callbacks", where they mention something from an earlier episode. If you haven't seen that episode, you'll just stare at the screen. If you don't pay attention, it's like you're watching a 20 minute inside joke that you're not a part of. I know how that feels, I missed a couple of episodes and was totally lost when I watched the follow-up episodes. Whatever, honorable men can differ...I still 24 or every other show on Fox, save their Sunday Night Line-up (not War at Home), is total crap. I also agree that Napoleon Dynamite was dumb. I haven't seen it. Is it the one thats meant to be in real time, like 1 minute of the show= 1 minute IRL, and if so, so if someone gets stuck in traffic they're basically out of the show for an hour or so? and if they sleep in they miss an episode?

Since this thread is about a show I don't give a shit about and probably will never watch I'll talk about another show. I recently saw an episode of Ali G or some shit (on HBO no less) that is supposedly funny? It was about the most mind-numbing retarded shit I've ever wasted 30 minutes of my life on - and I'd heard a lot of good things about it. Maybe it's funny to British people.Comment
