    I'd Hate to be a Muslim

    Seriously... wtf... what sort of image are these guys gonna get. They blow up the world trade centre, bomb London and Madrid...

    I know it doesn't apply to every muslims, but still, doesn't it seem like brainwashing? "Must... kill... America..."

    I saw pictures on the news... groups of Muslims just chanting. Not just middle east people, but white people too. All chanting with a dead look in their eyes, swearing to murdur anyone who tried to insult their religion.

    I do NOT want to worship a God that forces people to act like this. Nothing would ever make me want to become a part of this "belief".

    The fact that the idiots in Iran are developing nukes is just frightening

          Last time I checked, Christians don't blow up buildings. Neither do Sikhs, Jews or Hindues for that matter.

                    1) No one's deity forces them to do anything in particular. I have not yet heard of any serious cases of deities forcing their worshippers to do things. If you come across such a case of worshippers being forced to do things by God, tell me so I can consider renoucing atheism on the basis of irrefutable evidence of existence of God.

                    2) There's been many bombings in the history of the world. I'm pretty sure that a good number of Christians, Sikhs, Jews, or Hindus have blown up buildings. It might be better to say that there are no organized blowing up of buildings by groups of those religions on religious grounds. I don't know if that's true or not, but it definitely has a better chance of being true than claiming that no Christians have blown up buildings.

                    Edit: Please do not engage in etymological arguments over who is a "true" Christian, because the same arguments can be used to show that terrorists are not "true" Muslims. If you take it just a bit farther it turns into a No True Irishman fallacy and the term "Christian" or "Muslim" becomes useless because there is no set way to determine whether someone is "true" or not.

                          Once there was a holocaust, named by history as the Holocaust, but I'm pretty sure it was dark and evil Muslims killing innocent and puppy-dog-like Christians. It was like 10,000 buildings exploding.

                            Just because Christians haven't been known for large terrorist acts in the last 10 years, doesn't mean they haven't in the past. In fact, it would incredibly hypocritical for many Christian faiths to call their faith a 'nicer' and 'less violent' faith than theirs.

                            Like most have said before, it's the theocracies of many of these countries that are driving these people (who happen to be Muslim), to do thse radical acts. It's been seen in the past with the Christian faith as well.

                              My father in law was telling me over Thanksgiving about this amazing bartender at some bar he frequented who could shake a martini and fill it to the rim with no leftovers and he thought it was the coolest thing he'd ever seen. I then proceeded to his home bar and made four martinis in one shaker with unfamiliar glassware and a non standard shaker and did the same thing.
