A website, where that can recognize what songs are on a burned CD, or a CD in general, much like Itunes does.

You see, my friend gave me a Mix CD full of underground rap, to introduce me to it, and I have no idea of the titles of the songs, but I don't wanna put em on my Ipod as "Track 1" and such, so I was just wondering if there are any programs, or perhaps websites that recognize song titles?

What happens when you open them in winamp, does it try to find the song's informations through CDDB?

If you can understand the lyrics.. without actually having them infront of you.

But it doesnt take a lot of lyrics to find a song, if it isnt too underground.

Sometimes CDex will recognize shit like that. Wouldn't bet on it though.

Bah, I usually rightclick on the song in the winamp's playlist, View file info, then click on CDDB. But I guess it won't work

Sounds like you'll have to google everything.

I don't think cd tracks dont hold any meta data at all. CDDB and the like use track length and compilation to determine what cd you have. So if its in a mix, no dice.

I randomly went to a John Vanderslice concert and May Or May Not opened for him and they had free CDs that had 4 songs on it which were in a thin blue jewel case and was obviously burned and I went home and put it in my computer and PRESTO! CDDB knew the track names!

So maybe if you wait until your friend burns the exact same CD for someone else and that person figures out all the lyrics and submits the info to CDDB then when you put your CD in then PRESTO! All the track names. But then it might have a lot of typos or spaces or everything is lower case and you have to redo everything, that's so not worth it, you might as well just google everything for yourself.
