So it's like -500$/player for Sony.

But then again, which will become more popular, Blu-Ray or HD-DVD? O well, I guess I won't be buying either until they cost like 200$. And I wont be buying PS or XBOX either.

If you can add your own hard drive (which you probably can), just buy the cheaper one, and install your own hard drive with more capacity while spending abit less.

It's not only that the cheaper version misses some HD space, it also lacks some things that I don't know what does.

They're talking about how Sony said the PS3 was gonna be, and how it's gonna be.

"The finished (expensive) PS3 comes with 1 HDMI-port (exit?), was supposed to have 6 USB ports but got reduced to 4, and the 3 network ports that was showed last years E3 is down to 1."

And to TK trying to be funny, my Accord is worth measly 10k Kr, I currently got 300k+ Kr in my bank. Like I said before, and I'll say it again, it's me favourite car, and I'm gonna drive it til it's done.

If I actually worked like some people did, I would have gotten more money.

So in Australia the ps3 will cost around $999.
I guess I should not complain about Canadians having it bad. Anyways I still cannot find myself coughing up $600 dollars or $700 (tax included) for a system. By pricing it so high Sony is clearly going after some very special consumers out there. I dont see any 16-22 year olds (presumably that they are still in school) being able to afford ps3 right off the bat. Maybe those that have part-time jobs but still it is not easy spending all that money on something at once. I work hard in my part-time job just to earn a $8.10 per hour while still attending school. It would take me about 2-3 months to save up for the system seeing as how I have other bills to pay every month and even then I wont get a game with my ps3. To be honest I dont know what Sony was thinking.

I also understand that there is a big difference between the two versions of the ps3. It is not just what High Templar has stated above. Can someone who knows more about this clear this up for us average Joes. Thnx.

I've read that the 20gb hard drive PS3 will have no HDMI port. This means you won't be able to experience the maximum resolution of 1080p. You will only experience I believe 720i. This also means you won't be experiencing blu-ray movies and games to the fullest extent as it should be. I've also heard there won't be WiFi connectivity (not sure if true).

For the 60gb hard drive PS3, you pretty much have everything obviously, including 1 HDMI port so you can play games and watch movies in true high definition with a resolution of 1080p.
