case one:
I reported the guy using the name 'cottonpicker' one day.
nycle tells me it isnt illegal.

I say "cottonpicker" in pub chat to address him and ask him why they dont ban him for having a racist name.

...nycle warns me for racism.

case two:
telcat is being her usual idiot self. she asks me if I go to the university of agriculture, if I live on a farm, if I wear shoes, and if I own slaves (because I live in southern US)

I respond "go eat rice"

nycle warns me for racism, and telcat recieves no punishment.


fair? no. but what are you going to do about it? send a complaint to complaints@trenchwars.org if you want, but it never accomplishes anything. shortly after my THIRD nycle complaint, he got promoted to twd op.

evasive has been suspended for racism and abuse (or so I hear), while cig smoke and rab got axed on their first offense.

cent was banned twice consecutively for racism within 2 months of his hiring, and organized juice's ?go base "jewbacca" banner line.

ignore him. if you are seriously offended by that, grow some balls. I mean, honestly, you're offended by racism that's not directed to you over a fuckin game? If anyone complains about racism that isn't shoved in their face, they need to stop being so weak.

TW is not going down the drain because of this. Just because someone says some stuff, puts in text, and you see it in your screen, are you going to stop playing just because of that? Don't be so sensitive, trash talk comes in any way, and some people aren't really racist, they just like being assholes.

Enough whinning, read the rules. Half the things you guys are complaining about you couldn't possible know of anyways like staffers being suspended, accurate warning info. There's nothing racist about calling someone a 'cottonpicker', we're not going to ban people for making lite of a cultural issue ... unless you want to make the case that all southern people from the USA are slow witted red necks and that they can be specified as a true 'race'. It's the same as Wark calling me a liberal douche or making fun of Canadians, it's rude and stupid but we can't start warning and banning away things we find offensive.


Evasive has never been suspended for racism from what I know, I have never seen him suspended for anything. Ignore the rumors and don't act like they're facts. Cent has contributed a lot to staff in the time he has been a ZH, I didn't expect it to work out either. You're in no position to judge him the same with Nycle, he has done a lot as a moderator and anyone who is willing to be a TWD Op deserves anyone's respect (seriously it's a crappy job, worse then TWL Op).

Cig Smoke and Rab were clearly not suited for staff, I know cig will admit to it. Rab can help out with web stuff if he wants, he doesn't need to be a staffer and probably won't change his views or act more mature.

I think your problem Mai is credibility, there's nothing wrong with the complaint system it's just that you always complain and make things happening in this zone out to be worse then they actually are. The zone isn't going down the drain, real problems are being addressed like publics, anti-cheating, TWL and TWD are running smoothly, we have a lot of new good ZHs and a new dean of staff.


If you would have told the staffer online what 'HEIL MEIN FUHRER' meant and that he was spamming racism he would have be banned, plain and simple but because little to no information was given we were unable to.

Morale of the story-- give us more information, be more precise and try to get things done before whinning about staff not doing their job.
