at the end of the day, if the shame of buying an x-x-x-L t-shirt make u lose weight, then that's a success I think.

actually, its not a enw proposition since it happened in Singapour. They lowered the body mass index so they can look nicier into the world data. It is just stupid and fucking disgusting to hide the truth like that.

Er... BMI of 20-24.9 is normal, 25-29.9 is overweight, and 30+ is overweight.

        Stop making up numbers Telcat.

i think she's talking dress sizes!

i guess that would make sense though, because that's the important part about body weight. not health or fitness or anything like that.

Out of curiosity I figured my own BMI. 19.1, 9th percentile in weight for my age group. I wish protein shakes actually tasted good

Ummm, 'fat' was 'in' throughout Europe during the 16th,17th and much of the 18th centuries. Look at the paintings from that period, the thinking was that thin people died quickly when they got sick.
Ancient Greeks thought being tanned was a sign of low class, since only field workers stood out in the sun all day. Now tanned somehow equals healthy and fit.

Body image changes over time and across cultures. And the sad part is the body image is completely a learned behavior, what each of us thinks looks good is what we have been told looks good.

BMI is calculated as an individual's weight (in kilograms) divided by his height (in meters) squared. For example:

                      54.0 kg / (1.80 m)^2 = 16.7 kg/m^2

If you don't feel like doing the math (or the extra conversion to metric units if that's not what you're familiar with) there are plenty of calculators online; here's one.

Tel...I love ya sweety, but am I one of those nerds? hehehe

Was an interesting note on the shops that sell slaves...was a special on PBS this week that exposed the sale of women from the Ukraine to Turkey. What a black market they have going on.

They seem to love the Blondes in Turkey. Oddly enough the Turkish Police get a cut as well as some Govt officials there. Turkey being a Islamic nation as well and wanting to be part of the EU, yet they carry on as such with human slave trade.....makes me wonder how they will ever be accepted to the EU. I personally would never want to visit Turkey, seem very corrupt.

                            Sorry to hijack the topic!
May your shit come to life and kiss you on the face.
