Do free RPG games truly exist?

Anyone know some half-decent free RPG games? no need for MMO capability.

I know of 2 completely free MMORPG's. Rubies of Eventide and Tibia. I havn't played Tibia much, but it's got nintendo level graphics and a lot of player killing. Rubies of Eventide has a small community, graphics are 3-d, but dated, lots of races and classes to make a char from. If you start up Rubies, I could give you some equipment on the Pheonix server. I never play anymore because I've done everything in the game and new content isn't coming anytime soon. Both of these games are completely free to download and play, but if you pay like $40 you get free unique items and other cool things.

dick smallwood if you've never played it. gameplay is a lot like good old zelda.
they put it out a while ago, then after a year or so made it free download.

GuildWars costs something to buy, but has no subscription, and it's better than Silkroad.

I recommend DINK SMALLWOOD too. It's one of the funniest "RPG" ever. Old game, still good.

Thats what I've planned, I've taken my mate's account paid for by his mum- therefore his mum pays £8.99 for me to play it.

I haven't been playing it much due to work etc but I plan to after my last exam on 22nd.

My brother made over $500 from selling stuff on his runescape account. He was amazingly rich because he had a bunch of seasonal items that are worth a lot and such. He'd sell a million gold to my other brother's gullible friends for $50.

First, they aren't RPGs in the modern day sense of the term, second, they aren't RPGs in the old school sense of the term since you do no role playing to speak of :P

I'm in the middle of a Shadowrun campaign, does that count as a free RPG?
