I was actually just trying to get people to send me money, but yea I can agree with Kolar's post.

Speaking of which, what happened to your brother Kolar, why doesn't he post here anymore? I think he had the meatwad avatar.
My father in law was telling me over Thanksgiving about this amazing bartender at some bar he frequented who could shake a martini and fill it to the rim with no leftovers and he thought it was the coolest thing he'd ever seen. I then proceeded to his home bar and made four martinis in one shaker with unfamiliar glassware and a non standard shaker and did the same thing. From that moment forward I knew he had no compunction about my cock ever being in his daughter's mouth.

The CIA Factbook doesn't have a GDP or any numbers really. What they do have is this:

          Economy - overview:
This unique, noncommercial economy is supported financially by an annual contribution from Roman Catholic dioceses throughout the world (known as Peter's Pence); by the sale of postage stamps, coins, medals, and tourist mementos; by fees for admission to museums; and by the sale of publications. Investments and real estate income also account for a sizable portion of revenue. The incomes and living standards of lay workers are comparable to those of counterparts who work in the city of Rome.
          Compare this:
          Budget for the USA:
          revenues: $2.119 trillion
expenditures: $2.466 trillion; including capital expenditures of $NA (2005 est.)

          Budget for The Holy See:
          revenues: $245.2 million
expenditures: $260.4 million; including capital expenditures of $NA (2002)

              Similar situation:

As I graduated this past wednesday, I looked up at all the bronze, gold, marble, stained glass, and other very nice (and expensive) shows of class around the church, and wondered to myself, I wonder how many villages in Africa they could feed if they sold this all.

It is hypocritical, but then again, what about the church (and really christianity as a whole (we wont judge you, but if you don't follow our rules, we judge that you'll be going to hell)) isnt?

                  1) Generosity is not measured in riches per square mile.

                  2) Even if it was, how much you have left doesn't say anything about how much you gave.

                  3) Even if it did, I don't think the aim of the Catholic church is to give away all its money.

Disclaimer: I don't know much about the Catholic church or about having gobs of money.

                    You are a fucking retard.

My church does countless activities in which we provide for the poor. Every two weeks we hold this program called SOME (So Others May Eat). Often, people bring huge amounts of food and they are often in excess. Also, there is this other program that we have that works with an orginization called the
"Fishing School" in Washington D.C. They work with children at many age levels to make sure that they are kept off the streets and doing well in school. Every holiday we send their families baskets (thanksgiving, christmas, and easter) mainly for the dinner. Also, about 200 kids come every december to get a present that they wished for and that we picked out to provide (many other churches do this also i think). You should realize that most of these kids will not get anything at all. Another one i like especially is the fund for a preist in Jamaica. He comes every year describing the ordeals that they undergo and the help they need. Each time the donations are huge

Ive lived in 5 different parishes and all have strong support for the needy and less fortunate like these programs or others.

Take it a step further. I find it hypocritical that these organizations, such as the Baptists for example will boycott Disney, Starbucks as well as many other business's due to the fact that they are tolerable to people living a gay lifestyle and celebrate a gay pride day or march within their company...not to mention that they employ people that live a different lifestyle. I could care less if someone is gay or not. You would think that these religious organizations think that it is contagious....and yet when they get caught themselves with their pants down with prostitues & young boys it all for the good of the church.

So I guess it is ok to put down others & as long as when the church does it we all should turn a blind eye and accept the fact they try to cover up these scandals on a worldwide basis is morally correct.

F'um all! What would happen if it where proven that Jesus was gay? I would love that!
May your shit come to life and kiss you on the face.

I think that people forget that Jesus was a Jew too.

That's the killer right there. That always gets me.

                          This just in today:

Pilfering priest sent to prison for 5 years
Priest embezzled from parish to buy BMWs and take trips

FREEHOLD, New Jersey (AP) -- A priest who pleaded guilty to looting more than $75,000 from his upscale parish to pay for vacations and fancy cars was sentenced Friday to five years in state prison.

Seems to be a monthly event in this country that a priest gets caught doing something morally wrong and against everything that they preach.

The worst part of all of this is Some parishioners had defended the clergyman, saying he was merely living a typical Rumson lifestyle. The wealthy community is near the Atlantic Ocean, within commuting distance of New York City.

So with all the starving people and those that cannot make enough money to keep a roof over their heads, we have this justified Priest by some of his parishiners. Makes me want to vomit!

The full story is on CNN Website
May your shit come to life and kiss you on the face.

                            Not everyone's perfect.

Even in an organization that claims that it's perfect, the people are not perfect. Priests do commit crimes and again so do football players. Criminals just kind of exist everywhere. Temptations can be strong when one has a lot of money rolling by him. I'm really glad that Rigor took the time to actually prove everyone false that the Catholic church is one big hypocrite. There are also many, many devout members of evey religion.

Despite a shakey history, I respect the Catholic church as a whole, even though I'm not a believer.

I knewn I was gonna get one of these eventually.

                              1: Calm down.

2: I didn't say that you, your branch or whatever, your community or even the ideals of the Catholic church are not focused on helping people. The overall administrative body, the higher ups and a lot of the funding to the third world, the main goal there is not to help people. Doing good by them is mass conversions, getting bibles out to the people while they're starving to death and fighting Islam by the numbers.

I guess that's the kind of reaction you should expect when you try to simplify your argument to a broad blanket statement that the church has NO interest in helping people whatsoever. Your actual argument is that there are higher priorities for them, but that's not what you said, and there's a big difference. Don't tell him to calm down when your statement was intentionally glib.
