Dont see this movie. I made the mistake of getting sucked into the hype surrounding it. It starts off with some religious bullshit and then deteriorates from that point on. I especially feel that I was lured into seeing this by the commercial that shows it being a horror movie. The only 'horror' in it is terribly predictable loud noises and something shooting in from off camera when you least expect it (like when you go to those web pages that say 'focus on this dot' and then some nasty pic pops up).

I'm really kicking myself over this though..usually I am not stupid enough to fall into the advertising hype surrounding a bad movie, or usually even decent ones but for some reason I thought this would be decent.

The problem is that almost all new horror films these days are remakes. That doesn't speak well for the genre. I know that remakes are being made for other types of films, but it's especially worse for horror because shock value so is important to the genre, but how shocking is something when it's already been done?

Phantasm is the movie of all horror movies. This is what started off the Friday the 13th and Freddy movies with the gore and special effects.

How can you top Angus Scrimm as the Tall Man!

If you have never seen this...do a couple shots and have a good laugh as it is dated in materail and efx, but you will see that this was the movie that opened the door to the gore and blood ridden movies of todays horror films.

Demons I and II worked well for me, with good gore and effects. Horrors are losing alot today on the damn cgi

Not classical horror, but Final destination movies had some good fun factor to them

I knew not to see this movie, when I saw it had a rating of PG-13. No such thing as a PG-13 rated horror movie. But thanks for prooving my hunch correct about this shit film. :grin:

Romeo and juliet (1968 was a decent movie)
Romeo and Juliet with leonardo decaprio (please tell me why there are guns in a movie based on the 15th century.. please)
