I mean he didn't do a fucking Chuck Norris thing and kick both of the guns out... unless he did of course. While he was kicking one out I'm surprised the other one didn't squeeze the trigger out of nervousness. Of course, it's possible they weren't actually loaded.

A couple corrections to your statement. If Full Metal Jacket taught me anything, it's that marines are often normal men who are turned into killing machines through training that is one step away from brain washing. Plus, having 2-3 of their company taken out by a 13 year old female sniper at the end of the movie tends to support the idea that young girls can kill just as well and some marines arn't that intelligent.

I know how to defend myself if I have to (nothing close to what a marine could do I'm sure), but why would I risk my life over my wallet? If they actually attacked him to get his money then I'm really glad he knew how to handle himself. If they just pointed guns at him and asked for his money, I'm not so sure he made the right decision.

My buddy was getting mugged at a gas station back in high school by these 3 guys. It was a pretty bad neighbourhood but I'm pretty sure they didn't have any weapons. Anyway, my friend had had years of karate and shit and apparently kicked all their asses - he ended up breaking one guy's arm and another guy's knee before it was over. Wish I knew some type of martial art or was 100 pounds heavier.
