Did you read my post? I was comparing the price, and talked about how much I had to work to get one. And I ended the post saying that it wasn't expensive at all.

And I even had the price when it came out.

WE earn more than you, things are more expensive, but even if you check out the exchange rate, its not that expensive for us.

To get back onto topic, I found something relating to Squeezer's accusations above. As far as the whole "can't play a game you bought on someone else's PS3," it looks like it's just a patent at this point--doesn't look like Sony's actually implementing it on the PS3. (However, it's still a retarded patent and a sure-fire way to piss of consumers if it was ever implemented on ANY system, be it video game or otherwise.)

To the main point: PS and PS2 cost 5000-6000 kr (806-967 $) when it came out to Norway, and people still bought it like crazy, I couldn't get one until 4 months later.

600$ isn't much at all, 3720 kr? That's 2-3 days of work for me. Lets add up to norwegian taxes and other stuff, which will prolly make the start price here at 6000 kr. 5 days of work? That isn't even much. I could even buy it with the pocket money I get from mum.
