Sounds like the engineering problem you have was due to an Architects design flaw.

As a fabricator/manufacturer of Architectural products, I am amazed...actually not, of the fact that most Architect's are conceptual and because they draw it, it has to work. Next the Engineer gets ahold of it and thinks, as well as says, the Architect is a retard and this cannot work in the manner that it is detailed.

Every Architect and Engineer should be required to take courses covering both lines of work, since essentially they are taking a concept into reality. Problems I see are that most Acrhitects are out in left field somwhere.
