  • SNL - Seriously Not Laughing

    SNL - Semites Needing Lessons
    SNL - Showing Now Losers!

Back in the day, SNL (1st 10 years) used to be a staple of weekend entertainment to share with friends on Monday morning. Since the mid 80's, the show has gotten progressively worse.... The show's long over due for the axe. I'd like to put a bullet in Tina Fey's head.

I agree with you. Saturday Night Live used to entertain me with its writing, actors and the occasionally funny TV Funhouse. But the last two seasons were a bit bland. I am not saying that they didn't make me laugh a few times, but they didn't as much as I would have during the earlier seasons. I think that it is because of the lack of great actors. Will Farrell, Adam Sandler, Chris Farley, Kevin Nealon, Dana Carvey, Eddie Murphy, Chevy Chase and some others that I can't remember have been the franchises of their era. I can not see franchise material in any of the current cast. Darrell Hammond is old and is just providing impersonations that are aging along as well. I remember earlier this year of a show hosted by Peter Sarsgard and thinking that the host has actually outdone the cast. I can only remember Walken doing the same thing and Sarsgard is no Walken. The only thing that I can say was good during the last season was the SNL Digital Shorts. Lazy Sunday had a cult following and made me look forward to the future of SNL. I have not been pleased so far.

Oh and Tina Fey has left SNL, so you can put that machine gun down.

Yeah, when they had the "Lazy Sunday" stuff going on, I had hope that things were going in a good direction for SNL. I don't blame the actors, they're all pretty good, I think it's the writing that's killing the show. I mean, Bush jokes and Old ladies singing modern songs can only take you so far.

I actually liked Tina Fey, Weekend Update was the only part of SNL that I remotely enjoyed. But yea, its definately been in the shitter the past 15 years.

The show needs more snakes and planes.

I loved him on that show as Fire Marshal Bill (or was it Bob? or what?)
I also loved to two twinks with the tiny hats.
