Agreed with TK. Sony is sticking to their guns while Nintendo is trying different yet very appealing ideas. We'll see how it pans out, but I'm betting Nintendo will be on top (especially combined with their cornering of the handheld market).

This is something that is gonna be big for some gamers. I know I'll enjoy this one. The Wii is gonna be Region-Free. So, you can pick up that copy of that Naruto game you wanted, or that weird japanese game you were dying to play that you know would never be brought stateside.

all new teles made after about 2001 can cope with pal or ntsc. Mine is pre-2000 and can handle a PAL or NTSC source this isnt a problem. Region Free ftw. The Wii looks like the first thing nintendo i will purchase, now if they have won me over it looks like being a hit...

The interesting thing about nintendo is they reley on console and game sales as their sole source of income. The wii is gonna be sold at a profit unlike the 360 and ps3. So unlike mircosoft and sony which are fighting for control of your living room, nintendo are just making a games console at one price and selling for a higher one, they coming from the old skool of running a sucessful business :P Nintendo dont really care about market position as long as they make enough profit, which they can pay shareholders and invest in r&d for the next console. So they may come third overall in market share yet have a higher return on investment than sony or microsoft.....
