This is not correct. It is only correct if you believe a religion consists only of its basic message. However, the Bible is supposed to be the word of God, and thus it's understandable if a Christian doesn't take kindly to alterations of the word of God, or changing it to suit one's personal lifestyle or political climate.

Edit: Furthermore, religion is a Serious Thing. It's not something like what flavor of ice cream you like or whatever. Religion generally demands absolute faith and if one of those components is that the unblessed will go to hell, then you can expect that the believer is going to go around converting people with the same zeal that a fireman puts out fires (in fact the believer probably has stronger motivation since hell is thought to be eternal).

Having said all this, I am atheist and think that the absolute faith component of religion is junk, but you have to see that religion takes itself very seriously and that true believers take their religion very seriously as well.

Seriously.. people like 1ight kinda piss me off.. It's all fine you wanna believe in god and in whichever way. But there is no reason to go off at other people to do, say, whatever for what they believe in. I don't go around telling people you should not believe in god. I say believe what you want, how you want. But let other people be and dont force things upon them.

You always have that, Islam, Christianity, whatever.. you have people trying to convince you to believe else you will rot in hell, or only get 10 virgins or whatever, while its quite against (maybe not Islam) your own believe to actually invade peoples privacy and freedom like that. Is your identity as a Christian also to give a bad image to Christians to the people on this forum and scare them away from christianity for good? Because that's what you're accomplishing through your posts. Your bible knowledge is impressive and your ministry methods may have worked wherever you did your service but if that's your aim here, you're using the wrong methods.

I'm no uber Christian, but perhaps grown more spiritually. There are certain reasons why people that have come to Christ is not put in leading possions. It takes time before a person changes is Christ. When he gets used to it, when his flesh dies as he is reborn with Christ.

I don't know about my methods and who are you to say they don't work? Perhaps you know what goes inside of each and everyone's heart as they read? What about the bystanders, those who just come and visit the forums for like 1 time in their life? What if it is a enlightning moment for them? I want to shake people.

I have a life. Discussing smileys on the internet. Anyone who posts just a smiley is retarded in my book. When people post just a smiley in a thread, it tends to be that ninja one, so I was wondering if maybe it had meaning that I don't understand, although I seriously doubted it.

PS: Why can't people get warned for spam for posting just a smiley? I mean, in some situations one of the normal smileys as a post makes sense, but the ninja, wizard, and stupid pointing guy smiley are just stupid. Or, just get rid of those.

Once, after church, J was hanging out with his crowd, and someone brought him a guy who couldn't see or talk(again, demon's fault). My buddy J, awesome nice guy that he is, healed this guy right away.
Everybody who saw it thought it was pretty cool, but the big shot preachers at the church didn't like J because he was stealing their thunder. They told everybody that J was demon possessed because he was doing this kind of stuff.
J told them that it doesn't make sense at all. "why would a demon drive out another demon. that don't make sense." he said.
